We are Some Other Time. Why? Because at the time, we decided that we wanted to be known as those guys who will sing Some Other Time, which if you think about it too much could imply that we're four die-hard procrastinators, but in fact, we're the guys who will sing for you at a moment's notice, but not exactly at that moment you think of it, but preferably, Some Other Time, in the very near future.
We are (from right to left on the header graphic above):
Paul Hunter (Baritone), Dave Lewis (Bass), Rick Hembruch (Lead) and Dan Bragg (Tenor).
We started singing together near the end of 2008, in preparation for the Barbershop Harmony Society Evergreen District Division 1 competition, which was held in March 2009 in Vernon, hosted by the Vernon Timbretones Chorus. We placed first in the Novice Quartet competition, and have been singing together ever since.
We are a registered quartet with the Barbershop Harmony Society. While most of what we sing is in the Barbershop style, it's not all that we sing. However, we do love singing, and we strive to produce a sound that is among the best in the North Okanagan, and we invite you to find out for yourself… Some Other Time!
Where will you find us?
If you know of anyone who would like to hear some personalized a cappella harmonies, drop us a line. What's "personalized", you ask? You can be certain that we'll find some way to interact with you, the listener. No "put a CD on and listen" when it comes to live performing! Who knows, we may even find a way to get you to sing with us!
We have plans to provide performances at some of the local area Resident Care facilities in the New Year, in the traditionally dead-air time that occurs immediately after Christmas. Think of us the next time you visit mom or dad, grandma or grandpa, and if they haven't heard of us, would you think to mention us to the program coordinator of the facility they're staying in?
